Born James Lance Bass on May 4,1979 in Clinton,Mississippi. Lance's musical talent appeared at an early time in his life. At the age of four Lance took a stab at the family piano. His voice was developing very promisingly.At the age of eleven the family relocated to Laurel where Lance became a part of a local community choir known as "The Mississippi Show Stoppers." The next thing Lance wanted to do was join a group called "Attach". This choir went all around the US and the nation. But despite his love for music Lance kept his academic life under control and made sure to keep to his studies. Lance is an ace in science and wanted to pursue his love to become an astronaut. When he was contacted by the same vocal coach as Justin,and learned that four guys wanted him as part of their group,it was no doubt a tough decision for this Mississippi boy. But with a little encouraging Lance finally joined NSync and thanks to him they can call themselves NSync. Lance now owns his on Free Lance company where he helps out people in going for their career in music. He also recently played his first major role in a movie called On The Line.
